From El Paso warehouses to Paradise Valley.
I was born in El Paso. My uncle built the first tilt-up concrete industrial buildings in the city, and as a kid I'd walk the outside of those warehouses just to be around him while he did deals. When I was eight we moved to Scottsdale, and it showed me a completely different world. So much money, and so many people building something with it.
Builder's blood. Investor's math.
I learned real estate on the job site, not in a listing office. Five and a half years on the development side of the Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley. Landscape and hardscape crews, site furnishings, pools, budgets and procurement. I learned what a project costs and where the money hides.
Most agents can't read a construction budget, so they price new builds off pretty photos. I price them off what they cost to put in the ground. And I don't wait for the MLS. I pull parcel maps and county records, find the owners of old houses on big lots and vacant land, and reach out first. If I can give you more value than what I charge, you win no matter what.
